Podcast logo“Now Hear This Entertainment” is a weekly podcast featuring interviews with guests who are having success in entertainment – primarily music.  A new episode has been delivered on-time, every week since February 2014.  The show has gotten listeners from 164 countries around the world and is one of the top two percent most popular shows out of more than 3.2 million podcasts globally.  “Now Hear This Entertainment” has had multiple placements in the iTunes Top Ten (Music category) and the show has received two honors and been nominated for three other awards. In late spring of 2021 it was in the "20 Best Entertainment Podcasts of 2021," as published by Welp Magazine.

Guests on NHTE have ranged from Roy Orbison, Jr. to the keyboard player for Aerosmith to the lead guitar player for Garth Brooks to the fiddle player for Taylor Swift to the drummer for Cheap Trick to the bass player for P!NK to the trumpet player for Billy Joel, plus, seven GRAMMY Award winners, two Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, a Las Vegas headliner, three Emmy Award winners, and even participants from “American Idol,” “The Voice,” “America’s Got Talent,” and “The X Factor” (including one singer who won “The Voice”).  Guests have come from an array of genres and locales (the latter to include 17 different countries).

NHTE 246 Wilson Brothers Band

Brothers who live in Nashville and perform in a country band, although they each did have their own solo careers. They have written songs that have been cut by twelve other artists. Their debut single debuted at #1 on the CMT 12 Pack Countdown and their music has been streamed by the millions. They were also named one of five “Rising Acts” by CMT. They released an album early this year.

NHTE 245 Michael Peterson

A million-selling, Grammy-nominated country music artist whose songs have hit #1 on the charts five times. Amazingly, he has had his songs recorded by Hall of Famers and Grammy winners in five different genres, including Travis Tritt, Timothy Schmitt of The Eagles, and more. He has also been a contributing author for eight books. And, he received the prestigious Bob Hope “Spirit of Hope” medal from the USO following his eleven tours and over 150 performances for Service men and women deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and South Korea.

NHTE 244 Ashley Taylor

Her debut EP is scheduled for release January 18th, yet she already has a combined social media following of approximately 55 thousand. Three singles from her EP have already been released, and this year alone she has done lots of performing in lots of locations – not only in Nashville, but, California, Ohio, Virginia, Alabama. A singer, songwriter, guitar player, she has also appeared in several episodes of the hit TV show, “Nashville.” And she has garnered a lot of honors, plus, she has an impressive list of sponsors too!

NHTE 243 Dave Jenkins

An original member of the popular band Pablo Cruise, which sold several million albums and still continues touring today. A singer, songwriter, guitar player, Dave Jenkins has also performed with Southern Pacific and, more recently, with the American Classic Hit Makers. He has recorded with many music industry greats, such as Jefferson Starship, Huey Lewis, and The Doobie Brothers, to name just a few.

NHTE 242 Jaime Kyle

Having written or co-written hit songs for the likes of Faith Hill and Heart, among others, she's a singer, songwriter, guitar player whose songs and/or recorded performances represent an accumulated sales of an amazing 19 million CDs. She was the first female rock singer/songwriter to be signed to a major record deal that came out of Nashville and over the years has performed and recorded with the likes of Richard Marx, Amy Grant, Ozzy Osbourne, and more.

NHTE 241 Jeff Strametz

A singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, plus he is the president and CEO of Boulder Creek Musical Instruments. The company does guitars, basses, and ukuleles and has a very impressive artist roster. He performs regularly and this year earned Best Band honors in the Gilroy Dispatch’s 2018 Best Of. They also had the distinction of being called by Ingrid Croce to play a Jim Croce Celebration of Life for a dear friend of hers and Jim’s that had passed away.

NHTE 240 Taylor X

A singer, songwriter, recording artist in the electro pop genre, she also has an extensive background in dance, and, her music videos play in fitness gyms around the country. Plus she has also gotten radio airplay. She was the Pop/Contemporary Entertainer of the Year at last year’s Josie Awards, which is the largest independent artist award show globally. She released a full album two years ago followed by three singles last year and three more earlier this year. She is also a voting member of the Recording Academy for the Grammys.

NHTE 239 Shelly Liebowitz

Record executive, producer, promoter, and manager who is currently the CEO of SRI Label Group. He has worked with artists ranging from Sammy Davis Jr. to John Lennon. And, he has licensed recordings worldwide, and works as a consultant to several major music labels. Last year he put out a hardcover book called, “Doing it on the Downbeat.”

NHTE 238 Mark Schulman

Drummer touring with P!NK (currently in Australia), he has also performed over the years with the likes of Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks, Cher, Foreigner, Destiny’s Child, and many others. He is the recipient of numerous gold and platinum discs and has appeared on shows ranging from The Grammys to The Late Show to The Tonight Show to Conan O’Brien, Jon Stewart, American Idol, The X Factor, and more. He is also a music producer, audio engineer, and studio co-owner. He is one of the world’s most sought after drum clinicians.
