Notable Guest Quotes

"Hanging out with friends... they'll tell me all kinds of stories about their newest crush or how they got their heart broken and I'm like, 'Ya' know what, I could write a song up about that'."

"I've been a fan of Cage The Elephant forever, as long as I can remember... I was telling (a mutual friend) about how huge of a fan I was and he was like, 'Ya' know what, actually, I know the guitarist from that band and I think you two should work together.'  And he played him a couple of my songs and he really liked them and he decided that he wanted to produce my new EP."

"I feel like I'm never going to stop learning.  As long as the music industry is evolving and changing, there's always more to be learned."

"They came down to visit me all the way in Alabama, from Nashville... and we wrote six songs in, like, two-and-a-half days."

"It put it into perspective, like, that people really, ya' know, were taking pause and actually listening to my music despite my age... They just really were hearing it for what it is."

"Filming, I will say, is not my favorite thing to do.  I love photo shoots.  But I'm a terrible actor and I cannot dance so the video shoots are not my thing, but I can do it."

"Everybody loves to be visually entertained... So you kind of have to have something there for them to go and watch."
