He came into the public conscience four years ago as a semi-finalist on “The Voice.” A singer, songwriter, guitar player based in Connecticut, he has opened for the likes of Blues Traveler and Huey Lewis. He had a song on the iTunes Top 50 and is working on a new EP (possibly full album). He also performs with CDN - a male a cappella group at UConn.
"My first choice of school was Berklee College of Music and they did accept me - actually, twice - but the problem is they never gave me any kind of financial aid because they have a huge influx of vocalists already so it's very hard to offer financial aid to every vocalist who comes through the door."
"I basically started gigging from (age) eight-and-a-half until now."
"I'm a gear head, I'm a tech head, I love all these other things, but music has always drawn me back."
"When I was about 16-and-a-half (years old) I decided that I was going to stop because it was a lot of pressure... About two months later I picked up a guitar and I'm like, 'I can't, I can't get away from it. I love it too much.' And that's gotten me to where I am today. It's an undying passion. I can't get rid of it."
"That's what (The Voice) continued to do. It kept pushing my boundaries and expanding my horizons as a musician. And that was really one of the biggest things I got out of it. It really taught me how to be uncomfortable and learn from it, to be outside of my regular wheelhouse and be better at other things."
"When you have an opportunity, close the deal while you're there."
"Make sure you check your contract for your showtimes... Make sure to pay attention to the fine print when you book things."
