Notable Guest Quotes

“The thing about doing a video is, you’re constantly having to reset and start over.  Ya’ know, you repeat the same things over, and over, and over again, and it’s quite time consuming, very time consuming.”

“I look for that Wow factor, where that it’s upbeat and I think, ‘Ya’ know, when people hear this, this is really gonna stick in their head.’  So, if I know that it’s gonna stick in their head and that I really attach to it myself, then I know that’s the right song.”

“Reverb (Nation) is a big outlet to get your video seen…  People, once they hear it, and they like it or they see it and they like it, they keep sharing it.”

“My mother was also an entertainer… and my great great grandmother was an opera singer – known opera singer – in Italy… and I started singing behind my mother when I was three years old.  By the time I was ten years old I already had my own band and when my mother was playing out somewhere, when they went on break my little band would play.”

“In the music business I think it’s something that, it’s just in your blood, really.  I think it is and you had your calling, and I just absolutely love music.  I’ve loved it from the time I was little and probably will – I’ll probably be 80 and still trying to crawl on stage.”

“I’m just one of those people, I bounce back up and that just goes to show you how dedicated I am to my music because regardless of what happens I will – I’ve battled through a lot of stuff, just to make sure that I could get where I am today.”

“Pick your own image and don’t be afraid to step out of the box.  You don’t want to sound like anybody else.  You want to come out there and have people notice you for who you are, not for what your parent was.”

“Loretta Lynn, she had the Loretta Lynn Talent Search.  And I won first place at one of her Talent Search competitions.  And, Reba McIntyre’s cousin, Jeff, just so happened to be out in the audience and heard me sing.  So, he tucked me under his wing and, of course, as they say, pitched me some of his songs, which he gave me some of his songs to put on an album to help me get the first album… started.”

“Expect the unexpected when you’re trying to do a video shoot or anything like that because you just don’t know what the weather’s gonna hold.”
