Notable Guest Quotes

“Things are never straightforward and in the music industry certainly there’s a lot of emotions and a lot of songwriting comes from high emotions, so, new loves, existing loves, or falling out with friends and family, the list goes on.”

“There are certain teams that you work well with and there’s a lot of teams that it doesn’t gel as quickly.”

“It was nice to go (work in Germany) because it kind of gave us an understanding of the different genres that work in different territories.”

“It’s just lovely that we get a lot of great, positive feedback and the reason we do is because we love it.  But actually, it’s just so amazing that when we get great feedback because it… kind of confirms that we’re doing the right things.”

“It’s a business, so, we have to make sure that it isn’t just about us, it’s got to be about the music… and it’s got to be about what the fans want as well.”

“I would really say to anybody that’s got young kids, if they show a creative spark, you must definitely nurture that because a lot of people don’t have it, so for the people that do have it, it’s quite nice to nurture it while they’re younger because it’s a long, long road and a very lengthy process, so I think if you get it really young and you get in there you’ve got a much better chance.”

“If you’ve got, like, a thousand (YouTube) subscribers, then, if you’re posting a daily video you’re probably going to reach about 800 of them, but the way YouTube works is if you have a thousand subscribers and only post once a month you probably are only going to get about 30 or 40 of them seeing your video.  So, the, kinda, rule is, to post as frequently as possible without overdoing it.”

“If there’s any listeners out there that are thinking, ‘Oh, ya’ know, I haven’t got many followers,’ if a brand sees you through your social media and they think, ‘Oh well they look cool, they sound cool, and they’ve got great potential,’ they will definitely reach out to you because it’s very nice for a brand and an artist to grow together.”
