Raised hand to ask questionI’m picturing a teacher standing at the front of the classroom, writing furiously on the board while also glancing at a document filled with text that’s being projected onto an adjacent screen.  The teacher is talking and so dedicated to and passionate about the subject matter that neither a breath is being taken nor a glance is being made toward the class.  If so, the students raising a hand to ask a question would’ve gotten noticed.

Guilty as charged.  That’s me with this blog.

Every Monday for what will be two years now, as of later next week, a new blog has been posted.  The aim, as is largely the case with the weekly show “Now Hear This Entertainment,” is to present experiences and advice for the readers who are up-and-coming artists (musicians, singers, songwriters, entertainers) to learn from.

Just like data from different sources that shows that NHTE has gotten listeners from 121 countries around the world, website traffic numbers show me the audience reading what has been getting published in this section every week.

But what is still lacking?  Where are you having the most difficulties in your burgeoning career?  What insights have I not given you yet?  What lessons can I try to convey in this space in the coming weeks and months?

I want to talk with you and not at you.

Much in the way that I say at the end of NHTE every week, “Let’s get your feedback on the show too,” I invite you to engage with me through Now Hear This social media relative to the blog as well.

Comment on the Now Hear This official Facebook page or send a tweet to @NHT_tweets.  Good old fashioned email still works just as well too.  Use info@now-hear-this.net to send along your questions, comments, suggestions, or requests.

I’ve said before that there needs to be more of a spirit of collaboration instead of competition (two CO words) amongst performers.  So tell me your success stories too so I can share them with my readers.  Specifically, let’s hear about what you read in a blog on this site and/or what you heard on an episode of NHTE that really helped you.

And keep in mind that there are eBooks you can purchase here too to get help with your career in the entertainment business.  (Buy the combo for 25% off so you get two for just nine bucks!)  Plus, don’t forget that I’ll be doing a free “Promoting Your Music Career” workshop on October 1st in conjunction with the 8th Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival.

I look forward to hearing from you and I appreciate your readership and listenership.
