Singer, songwriter, guitar player Allyson LaCour is the newest addition to the client roster, Now Hear This President Bruce Wawrzyniak announced today. The Jacksonville, Florida, resident released an EP last year and is currently working on another release she’s hoping to have out by the end of 2019.
“Ally is more than just ‘a new addition to the client roster’,” Wawrzyniak said. “She is a talent that commands the spotlight. I love her commitment to her music career and her message. Truly she is a recording artist that more people need to hear. It’s a blessing for her to entrust Now Hear This with aiding in getting her out there more. It will be a pleasure to work on her behalf in that way. And, I’m excited to come alongside someone who just radiates positivity and is so driven.”
In addition to working on more new original music, LaCour is preparing to perform in northeast Florida at the Ormond Beach Live Original Music & Art Festival, just north of Daytona Beach.
"I am so excited to take my career to the next level with the help of Now Hear This,” LaCour said. “I am thankful for this opportunity and looking forward to the road ahead.”
LaCour’s EP “Living Fearlessly,” streaming on Spotify and available on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play, was produced by Grammy Award-winning and Latin Grammy Award nominated pianist and producer Lannie Battistini. Her music is rooted in country, but her vision is a sound that has crossover appeal and lyrics that embody empowerment and positivity. Finding the glass half full in any situation and turning it into something for listeners to hold onto is where the songs she’s currently working on will come out.
LaCour was asked to sing in June at a remembrance ceremony for the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, where approximately 5,000 people attended the event, which was televised as well as livestreamed internationally. She has also performed as part of events ranging from the Colgate Country Showdown to Central Florida Idol, and she has auditioned for some reality shows.
LaCour is the mother of three- and one-year old sons. Her husband, Bennett, sometimes provides accompaniment (guitar) in her live performances. On her official website she also writes a blog from the perspective of a musician who is also a mom.
