Podcast logo“Now Hear This Entertainment” is a weekly podcast featuring interviews with guests who are having success in entertainment – primarily music.  A new episode has been delivered on-time, every week since February 2014.  The show has gotten listeners from 165 countries around the world and is one of the top two percent most popular shows out of more than 3.2 million podcasts globally.  “Now Hear This Entertainment” has had multiple placements in the iTunes Top Ten (Music category) and the show has received two honors and been nominated for three other awards. In late spring of 2021 it was in the "20 Best Entertainment Podcasts of 2021," as published by Welp Magazine.

Guests on NHTE have ranged from Roy Orbison, Jr. to the keyboard player for Aerosmith to the lead guitar player for Garth Brooks to the fiddle player for Taylor Swift to the drummer for Cheap Trick to the bass player for P!NK to the trumpet player for Billy Joel, plus, seven GRAMMY Award winners, two Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, a Las Vegas headliner, three Emmy Award winners, and even participants from “American Idol,” “The Voice,” “America’s Got Talent,” and “The X Factor” (including one singer who won “The Voice”).  Guests have come from an array of genres and locales (the latter to include 17 different countries).

NHTE 465 Dr Jaymz

Originally from England but now based in Boston, he’s a podcaster, author, composer and producer who is the first missionary to become an EDM artist. In 2022 he put out a six-song EP, PLUS seven other singles and he’s targeting the middle of next month for his next release. As a minister he has preached to eighty thousand people and as a DJ Producer has performed to thousands more. On Spotify alone, his top five songs have been streamed over 680 thousand times. And the videos on his official YouTube channel have a combined total nearing a half-million views.

NHTE 464 Steve Cherubino

A multi-instrumentalist whose punk/alternative band, Area 52, has been recording an EP that will be released very soon. They performed at a number of venues around the Tampa Bay area last summer and fall after having taken the stage in Orlando last May at Podfest Multimedia Expo. He is also the founder of DAW Junkie, a music production training website that has a companion YouTube channel. He is also a longtime podcaster, having first started with the “EDM Producer Podcast” and being largely credited for starting the podcast boom in Tampa Bay.

NHTE 463 Oliver Sean

Based in England, a musician, composer, record producer, and filmmaker who two months ago released a single that has had all kinds of success on the charts, not only in the UK but in the U.S. and elsewhere. There is a new music video coming in January for that song, plus he has an EP on the way in March as well as a live album in April or May. He has a combined total of almost three-quarters of a million video views on his official YouTube channel and his top five songs on Spotify alone have combined for approximately 128 thousand streams.

NHTE 462 Joey Stuckey

Award-winning guitarist, songwriter, singer, composer, producer, radio and TV personality, music columnist, educator, and sound engineer. He was featured on a Christmas song that came out last month and was also featured on a single that was released in July. He is the subject of a mini-documentary that came out a year-and-a-half ago that talks about his blindness and other medical challenges and his perseverance in life and music. He recently toured the UK and will be releasing a new album in 2023.

NHTE 461 Gabriele Saro

Venice, Italy-based award-winning artist and composer and candidate for GRAMMY nomination 2022 as a producer, non-classical. He has an extensive music catalogue, ranging from classical to new age to electronic, rock, and R&B. He is a winner of the UK Songwriting Contest and was Top 10 in two editions of the USA Songwriting Competition. His total of approximately 50 prizes made him the most awarded young composer in Italy. His music has been broadcast worldwide, including radio, TV, commercials, shows, and movies, and even on airlines and in medical centers.

NHTE 460 Carl Giammarese

Singer, songwriter, guitar player best known to ‘60s music fans as founding guitarist/backing vocalist of The Buckinghams, a pop rock group that had seven national chart hits, 15 singles, and eight acclaimed albums, including the distinction of three singles on the national charts simultaneously. In 1967, Billboard proclaimed them "The Most Listened to Band in America.” While he continues to perform with The Buckinghams, present day he continues to write, record, and perform both with other artists as well as for his own projects.

NHTE 459 Asher Laub

He began classical violin training at the age of just two years old and by age 13 had already performed with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. His expertise in improv across multiple genres has led him to a career as a soloist in demand, performing at venues from Madison Square Garden to Carnegie Hall to the Lincoln Center, the Jacob Javits Center and across four continents. He has been featured on PBS and has been booked to perform at special events for Google, Nickelodeon, National Geographic, and Citigroup, among others.

NHTE 458 Todd Barrow

Dallas-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist who three months ago released his third new single of 2022 after having put out six last year. He has won numerous awards and gotten extensive media coverage, and his music has gotten airplay not only in the U.S., but internationally as well. He is a member of the Country Music Association and has even done some acting too. On the stage, he has performed not only at venues and events throughout Texas, but earlier this month did a show in Oklahoma and last month played at the popular Commodore Grille in Nashville.

NHTE 457 Jessee Lee

A singer, songwriter, guitar player who just released a single in July and is about to put out another new song. Plus, she has an EP that will be coming out at the start of 2023. She even has a Christmas song coming out as well. On Spotify she has an impressive eleven-and-a-half thousand monthly listeners. She has been building her music career between Nashville and Texas, including moving back and forth between the two, as she talks about here. Music is in her family, as her father is a GRAMMY-nominated hit songwriter.

NHTE 456 Caitlin Evanson

A classically trained violinist who has traveled the world playing violin and guitar and singing background vocals behind multi-Grammy winning superstar Taylor Swift. Along the way she has appeared on television numerous times, from the Academy Awards to the GRAMMYs to “Saturday Night Live” to “Good Morning America,” the Oprah Winfrey Show, and more. She also plays mandolin and has also toured and recorded with Ringo Starr, and just recently came off the road from having been out with the Rolling Stones. She has even performed for the troops overseas as part of several USO Tours.
