Podcast logo“Now Hear This Entertainment” is a weekly podcast featuring interviews with guests who are having success in entertainment – primarily music.  A new episode has been delivered on-time, every week since February 2014.  The show has gotten listeners from 165 countries around the world and is one of the top two percent most popular shows out of more than 3.2 million podcasts globally.  “Now Hear This Entertainment” has had multiple placements in the iTunes Top Ten (Music category) and the show has received two honors and been nominated for three other awards. In late spring of 2021 it was in the "20 Best Entertainment Podcasts of 2021," as published by Welp Magazine.

Guests on NHTE have ranged from Roy Orbison, Jr. to the keyboard player for Aerosmith to the lead guitar player for Garth Brooks to the fiddle player for Taylor Swift to the drummer for Cheap Trick to the bass player for P!NK to the trumpet player for Billy Joel, plus, seven GRAMMY Award winners, two Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, a Las Vegas headliner, three Emmy Award winners, and even participants from “American Idol,” “The Voice,” “America’s Got Talent,” and “The X Factor” (including one singer who won “The Voice”).  Guests have come from an array of genres and locales (the latter to include 17 different countries).

NHTE 475 Tierney Allen

On-location in Las Vegas with a singer, multi-instrumentalist, tribute artist, content creator, influencer, and producer. She has been portraying Lady Gaga for 13 years, seven of which she has performed for the world-renowned tribute show, “Legends in Concert.” Most recently she has produced her own show, “Lady Winehouse,” which debuted early this year in what has been called the entertainment capital of the world. She has been featured by TIME Magazine, CBS News, Billboard.com, Access Hollywood, and Entertainment Tonight.

NHTE 474 Fred Mollin

He just last month released a 16-song children’s album, which includes three interactive bonus tracks. He is a record producer, film and TV composer, songwriter, arranger, musical director, and bandleader who splits his time between Music City and Los Angeles. On Spotify alone he has well over 213 thousand monthly listeners and his top five tracks on there have gotten a combined total of over 41 MILLION streams. Last year he produced a four-song EP for the legendary Johnny Mathis, who he has done work with in the past.

NHTE 473 Danny Seraphine

A Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, GRAMMY Award-winner, and the original drummer and co-founder of the legendary band Chicago. Critically acclaimed as an instrumentalist and a composer, Rolling Stone magazine has ranked “the father of jazz rock” as one of the top 100 drummers of all time. His storied career has also included producing, as well as working with a variety of Broadway musical and theatrical projects. In 2020, he received the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award, and the former CEO of Guitar Center calls him one of the top five living drummers.

NHTE 472 Aliyah Good

Singer songwriter, guitar player who just released a new single less than two weeks ago and has an EP coming out in May. Just over four months ago she released a single whose music video premiered on CMT and features a notable collaborator. Already in her young career she has performed at notable venues such as the Hotel Café in Los Angeles, the Bitter End in New York City, and she has done shows in Nashville, where she spends her time when not in southeast Florida. In addition, she performed at an event in Europe that she discusses here, and she will be touring this summer.

NHTE 471 Johnny Reed

Based just south of Los Angeles, he is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist who just released his eighth album at the end of January. He has gotten radio exposure from Mexico to Portugal to the UK to, of course, here in the U.S., and has an amazing story about being befriended early in his career by the road manager for The Beatles. In addition to all that he has done in music, he has worked on film projects including blockbusters “Titanic” and “King Kong.”

NHTE 470 Lightnin' Charlie

The nine-year anniversary episode of the podcast, featuring an award-winning singer, songwriter, guitar player and author who released a single last month and has a new album coming out this Spring. He is in his 40th year of being a full-time independent artist, and his autobiography is called, “Off The Record - The Trials and Tribulations of a Travelin' Troubadour.” His music has gotten widespread airplay, including “Bluesville” on SiriusXM, and he has been voted “Favorite Musician in the Mountain South” several years in a row.

NHTE 469 Michael McGlinn

He spent ten years living and working in Nashville at the start of his music career. Now based in Kansas City, Missouri, he is a singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and arranger who is in the process of releasing (beginning of March) a new album featuring 24 songs. In addition, he is working on a new body of work, plus he has a film production company (doing 70+ films a year), for which he has written and scored hundreds of short films and documentaries.

NHTE 468 Daniel Mock

Alabama-based singer, songwriter, guitar player who has a tour starting next month. He has recently signed with Aurally Records, which is a Sony Music subsidiary label and is currently in the studio recording a new album. He has performed at numerous venues and events across Texas, Alabama, and Florida, including having opened for the likes of Craig Morgan, The Charlie Daniels Band, and many more. He is gaining lots of attention on TikTok, where he has 390 THOUSAND followers and 2.1 million likes. He even talks here about having auditioned for both “American Idol” and “The Voice.”

NHTE 467 Michelle Rose

Minneapolis-based singer, songwriter, model, and actress who has a new single coming out in just over three weeks AND will be releasing a full album soon as well. Last year she released three singles as well as covers of two Christmas songs. One of her songs alone on Spotify has been streamed over 133 thousand times. She has planned and directed most of her own high-concept music videos, several of which have won multiple awards, and her YouTube channel has close to three-quarters-of-a-million combined video views.

NHTE 466 Anton du Preez

Seattle-based composer, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter who splits his time between the Pacific northwest and Los Angeles. His latest album – a ten-song release – came out last August, and almost one year ago to the day he had a 31-track release that was an original television soundtrack. He has a new album in production, targeted for release in late spring or early summer. A regular performer and recording artist, he also composes and produces for various projects, with his credits including a number of Lifetime films and singing for video games.
