Congrats, and Now Move On
Last night millions of people watched as the Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl LX over the New England Patriots. I’m always amazed at how fast a parade happens to celebrate a World Series or Stanley Cup or NBA championship title. I have no reason to doubt that that will be the case in the Pacific Northwest for the newest NFL champions.
I Went to the GRAMMYs Last Night, And…
Last summer I became a Member of the Recording Academy, which brought with it some questions. But last night in Los Angeles I attended the GRAMMYs for the first time and then braced myself for the one common inquiry that I know so many will have for me.
“So, how was the GRAMMYs?!”
Podfest, NAMM Underscore Accessibility of Content Creation
This morning finds me in Los Angeles, having driven over here yesterday from Anaheim after the NAMM Show wrapped up. I’d flown to southern California last Wednesday morning, less than 72 hours after having returned from Podfest Multimedia Expo in Orlando.
Unmask Einar’s “Eyes in Disguise” for a Breakthrough
I promise that this wasn’t planned. But just one week after the Top Ten Blogs of 2025 post went up on this site and noted that some were song reviews, there is, indeed, such an entry here in only the third week of 2026.
And why shouldn’t there be? Good work deserves to be rewarded, or, in this case, good music should be heard.

New Year, Same Marketing Plan? Why Re-Examining Your Strategy Might Matter More Than You Think
Every January, business owners and creatives step into a brand-new year with fresh planners, renewed determination, and big goals. Vision boards get pinned to walls, online courses are bookmarked, and that satisfying first-page-of-the-notebook moment finally arrives. As you crack open that clean journal, break out your favorite gel pens, and start resetting subscriptions and systems, there is one thing that can be surprisingly easy to overlook in all the excitement: your marketing plan.
Let’s Not Carry These Practices Over to the New Year
We’re just two days away from December 31 and turning the calendar over to 2026. People are up to their eyeballs in planning for what they’re going to do in the new year. Today, however, I prefer to campaign for what people should not be planning to do as we head into the fresh slate that is the next twelve months ahead.
Say Thank You This Week – But Not Just to Christmas Gifts
The calendar says December 22 and not November 27. In other words, I recognize that this isn’t Thanksgiving Day or the week leading up to “Turkey Day,” as many here in America like to call it. Instead, it’s the week of Christmas, with the big day falling exactly four weeks after most folks will have gathered around the table with family for the gratitude-centered holiday.
Oddly enough, September 15 is National Thank You Day. They even consider December 26 to be National Thank You Note Day. (And yes, that’s Boxing Day in Canada.)
You Might Very Well Love “Unlove You” by E-NAY
While I get nervous writing a song review about an artist that I “just” published something about, this latest occurrence has opened my eyes to a positive spin on it.
Just over three months ago I published a blog about the song “Legendary” and now the artist E-NAY has released “Unlove You,” which gets my seal of approval as well. But instead of fretting about the calendar, I’m choosing instead to support the fact that an artist is putting out new music with some degree of frequency.
