Notable Guest Quotes

"(Matthew's father) made us go and listen to these records just for a little inspiration, a little influence... all of these things just to kind of bring it back and be, like, this is a time that music was, you had the live bands, you had people actually practicing and making really cool things on their instrument, not just with VST or, like, a plug-in... you had to be good."

"We went through the whole PhonyPPL discography at the time and we were left with about, like, two songs, I think, literally, that we could actually perform.  So we went from doing, like, 45 minute sets, hour sets, to eight minutes, maybe."

"There was a time when we were doing a lot of support for people, so we were touring with, like, The Roots, and Erykah Badu, and just opening for a lot of that genre... because that was where I think a lot of people felt we fit at that moment."

"The Blue Note definitely I would credit for a lot of just being able to work out the material that we have right now... and being able to test... out in a very calm, controlled environment with a smaller audience.  And it's such a legendary place in New York City that it's always an honor to play there."
