"It's really important that you click with the producer since you're going to be spending more time than you would expect together."
"Being able to meet with (Gwen Stefani) and work with her, and she gave some really good advice about stage presence and basically dealing with when you get nervous and trying not to, it's like the fear of looking stupid can hold you back. It doesn't matter 'cause in the moment that's what you're feeling."
"I like to play piano. It's just beautiful. I love to sit and write. I love to just create."
"I do want to be a mainstream artist. That doesn't mean that I have to conform to the formula of mainstream music and what plays on the radio."
"I want to be touring, making records. I'm in it for the long haul for sure. So, I'm just putting the work in now, paying my dues."
"I definitely deal with the natural insecurities that come with being an artist. But, I really, you have to believe in yourself, you have to believe in your talent. You have to believe that you have a lot to offer otherwise people will just eat you alive, sort of."
"One day I really do want to open up, or start a foundation, and I want to open up a shelter for men and women who are in abusive relationships because it's not just women that can be in abusive relationships, it can be everyone. And I would love to just have a place for those people to go and we can help set them up and start new lives."
"Any performance can be an incredible opportunity. Even if you're playing to one person, that one person could be an A&R and you don't even know."
