Now Hear This will have a significant presence at the 6th Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival, it was announced today.  The event will take place October 2-5, 2014, at venues all within just over one mile in the Florida Panhandle city.

Now Hear This will be the presenting sponsor for the “Emerging Songwriters Hour” on Friday night, October 3rd at the stage at the Paradise Inn.  NHT client Melissa Brethauer will perform throughout the festival.  And, NHT President Bruce Wawrzyniak will be on-hand for the duration of the event as well.

Festival logo“I have been so grateful for the relationship that we’ve had with the Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival for approximately five years now,” Wawrzyniak said.  “To be sure, putting on an event of that magnitude is no easy task, yet there’s always such a great sense of camaraderie at this event and a strong, warm, personal welcome.  That’s an environment that fosters new relationships and helps preserve those that have been built, not to mention feeds creativity.  It’s always great to go back there for this event.”

Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival President Reneda Cross said, “I’m grateful for the ongoing support of Now Hear This and glad that we can team up on this opportunity to showcase the young talent that’s a part of our Festival, including putting an emphasis on the local ties.”

The “Emerging Songwriters Hour” will feature Brethauer (pronounced BRETT-how-er), who just turned 25, along with 18-year old Jackie Clowe and 16-year old Brittany Cole performing in a writers round.

“I, personally, was thrilled that Melissa would be able to come across the country to have this on her calendar of live shows,” Wawrzyniak added.  “It has been so rewarding working with her for so many years and getting opportunities in the likes of Las Vegas, Nashville, Atlanta, Alabama, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and now California, but the Florida shows always have a feeling of home.”

Brethauer, who is originally from the Florida Panhandle, moved to Los Angeles earlier this year after having lived the prior two-and-a-half years in Atlanta.  She will be making her fourth appearance at the PBSF and is targeting the festival for the release of her new CD.  She grew up in Navarre while Clowe has – among other locations – lived in Pensacola and Cole is from Gulf Breeze, Florida.

The full list of participating festival venues, including the Paradise Inn, as well as the full event schedule (to reflect those who will be in the “Emerging Songwriters Hour”), will be published on www.PensacolaBeachSongFest.com.  Brethauer’s official website is www.MelissaBrethauer.com, which also includes links to her social media sites.
