Nashville-based singer, songwriter, guitar player who was on this show way back on Episode 13, which was recorded in 2014, when we talked about the publishing deal she had just signed, the new album she was releasing, and the tour of Alaska she was about to go on, plus it was mentioned then that she had performed at CMA Fest. This time, around, unfortunately, she is speaking from the perspective of an individual who has been battling cancer for a year now and how that has impacted not only her music career but her life.
"I started noticing... that some momentum was happening and, just stars aligning, meeting the right people at the right time, so I felt this momentum build and actually, January 16th (2018) was the date that I found out I had a radio deal, which was going to put my... new single... with about 380 radio stations... It was going to be finally kind of coming into my own with my career. I felt like I was finally getting that validation that I needed as an independent artist."
"I'm a one percent case because most women don't get this type of cancer at my age. Usually women who get this type of cancer (are) over the age of 65."
