Notable Guest Quotes

“It was one of my first songs that I composed and was included in my debut album… And ‘Love Story’ became the biggest global hit (for me) since now.  It has more than, I think, four million plays on Spotify and more than two million views on YouTube.”

“When I was 20 years old, 25 years old, my philosophy about music and life was completely different from now.  But my love for writing music is still the same.  It’s much more now, bigger love.”

“When I was a child, I was telling to all my friends that I want to compose songs, I want to do a record.  So, when the time has come, and I find the chance, I did whatever I have to do to complete my dream.”

“In 2007 I was one of the winners in a Greek music competition and then it all started.”

“I released my first album… in 2008, and then the success was massive in Greece and somewhere in Europe, in other countries abroad, and some of my songs played in USA and Canada and other countries.”

“In 2015 I created my own label in order to release and manage my music professionally.”

“I started playing guitar when I was ten years old in the early ‘90s because of my big love to the grunge music from Seattle, bands like Nirvana, Sonic Youth -- Pearl Jam was one of my biggest influences to make me love music and start playing music and then I arranged my own band and started playing with my band.”

“If I have to give a title to my music, I would say that it is music for, I think, romantic people who love to travel in time with their thoughts, and the genre that nowadays is more close to the music that I compose is vintage music with elements of soul, funky, psychedelic pop, and soft rock music, and a little bit electronical elements.”

“I’m a lonely cowboy.  I have my band, I have my musicians, and when we have time, we are playing, we are jamming and help each other.  It’s better to do it with the others than by yourself, but I’m a DIY worker, so I write my music by myself.”

“I met (Moby), I gave him my two first albums, and I asked him to listen to my performance, and then he did a very polite and very good tweet that was saying, ‘Congratulations Monsieur Minimal for the great performance and the very nice tunes’.”

“The music industry has changed a lot since we know it.  I’m 43 years old, I started with music with the cassettes and vinyl and now everything is online.  Social media, streaming stores are ruling the industry.  Labels now become more promoters and managers than producers or investors in music.  They sometimes, here in Greece happens, they charge you for services that you’re not sure that will succeed.”
