Notable Guest Quotes

“When I write a song it always has, like, two different meanings, one is more deep – I’m not going to say it’s political, but something that touches little problems around us – and always a fun side of it.”

“I always love with my music to bring some happiness and maybe to cheer people up, or, just, we all need a little bit more happy in our lives, especially currently with whatever’s going on in the world.”

“It’s very interesting because every person works a different way, and they also have a different interpretation of whatever you tell them.”

“One day before the shoot I was like, ‘I found an incredible place.’  And that was on PeerSpace.  There’s an incredible website anyone can use.  It’s free to use it and you can find a location for just a few hours for your shoot, or photo shoot, whatever you want.”

“When we plan something, most of the time something will go wrong, right?  We get upset.  ‘Oh my God, this is not how I planned it!’  But then when you go with the flow (instead) and you’re ready already for all these things that can pop up, you don’t get upset you just get excited.”

“What I will recommend to anyone who’s an artist listening to me right now… If you are a good person and you’re kind and you’re actually sincere, you’re going to attract the same people to you.  And if you have your target – and please, have one goal in front of you.”

“You have to still work on meeting these people.  If you’re sitting on your bed, nobody’s going to come to you just out of the blue and say, ‘Hey, would you like to perform there and there’.”

“In the pandemic, I was like, ‘Oh my God… how about we use this opportunity, go in Times Square, and just use Manhattan when it’s empty and crazy and looks like this apocalypse happening and, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience’ … so we shot the music video, pandemic-time, in Manhattan… and it was empty, Times Square...  I’m actually super excited for this video to come out.”

“I was raised and I was growing up in Latvia and I already started making music. I was writing, I was singing, but it was all not serious because in Latvia – and people that surrounded me – it’s like, okay, it’s not taken seriously.  It’s just like a hobby… but it cannot be a career… I wasn’t taking it as my career path.  So, when I moved to London… I was like, ‘Ya’ know what, it’s much better, it’s much different in this world…  The thoughts I was raised with and thoughts that were put in my head, are not true, that’s not real.  That’s now how people live or can live.’  We’re raised to be closed-minded or accept things that people put on us instead of listening to yourself, listening to what your heart desires and wants to do.”

“I’m absolutely in love with New York… but I’m always traveling because my producers for my music are mostly in L.A. and Miami.”

“I’m always traveling to Miami or L.A. because of the style of my music, I think.  That’s the biggest point, because, palm trees, like L.A., it’s warm, it’s tropical, my music has this tropical taste to it every song has this exotic, tropical pop, reggae, reggaeton style.  And I think it helps when I write, I love the environment, I love the tropical climate.  Everything can inspire you to write a song and if my music has to bring sunshine to people, why don’t I go there?”

“Right now… I have a full album, songs written down already and in the process of recording, it’s either going to be a full album that I’m going to release and go on tour… or I’m going to release singles… Maybe I’ll be able to release one of the songs before the end of the year.”
