NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE -- The Sheagles, an all-female Eagles cover band, will now be booked for live shows by Now Hear This. The announcement comes at the conclusion of a trip to Music City by NHT President Bruce Wawrzyniak.
“I have been talking to (band founder) Colleen (Orender) for some time now, thanks to a referral from a mutual colleague of ours,” Wawrzyniak explained. “From the first time I heard the band name and what they do, I thought it was a great concept. Of course there has to be more than that, and these girls have it. Musically they’re great and the big crowds that they are playing to only reinforce that. It’s going to be fun working with them.”
"The Sheagles band and Bruce Wawrzyniak are going to be a great team,” Orender said. “We are so excited to have him, and look forward to our new venture with Now Hear This.”
Based in Nashville, the Sheagles started in 2006 as a ten-piece group, but nowadays have eight members. They have played in several states, with one of their notable highlights being last year’s Standing on the Corner in Winslow Arizona Festival, where they played to approximately 8,000 people. That event used to have a different band for eleven years, but switched for the first time – to The Sheagles.
They have also played the House of Blues, and Gaylord Opryland Special Events Coordinator Warren Lyng says, “Beautiful, sexy, and stellar are three words to describe The Sheagles. Close your eyes and you swear those harmonies are none other than the original, but trust me – you won’t want to close your eyes.”
Wawrzyniak said that while the main thrust of the Now Hear This/Sheagles relationship will be bookings, some other promotional efforts will be made on the band’s behalf.
A video of The Sheagles has been added to the Now Hear This official YouTube channel.
