Singer/songwriter Erica DiCeglie is the newest Now Hear This client, company president Bruce Wawrzyniak announced today. Effective immediately, management, promotion, and booking services are underway for the Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, resident, who also plays piano.
“Erica is the total package and I’m excited that Now Hear This has gotten the opportunity to work for her,” Wawrzyniak said. “I appreciate her trust and confidence and I admire her dedication to her music career.”
The NHT president was quick to point to some of the new client’s highlights, including that she has sung in Europe.
DiCeglie (pictured at right) is a versatile talent, performing in both the jazz and Christian genres. With regards to the latter, she has opened for major national headliners such as Building 429, Big Daddy Weave, Salvador, and Ginny Owens. She serves as the Assistant Music Director for St. Jerome Church in Largo, Florida, including performing with the Life Teen Band.
To-date she has released a jazz CD called “The Way Here” (2012) and a Christmas CD entitled “My Gift to Bring” (2013). Of the former, Broadway composer/lyricist Norman Thalheimer said, “Erica takes to music like a bird takes to flight. In this album she spreads her wings and soars.”
DiCeglie’s background includes having studied musical theater at the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. She has starred in revival productions of “Grease,” “Kiss Me Kate,” Cabaret,” and “Hair,” among others.
In the greater Tampa Bay area she has been seen in various performance settings, ranging from the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg to the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center to singing the national anthem at Tampa Bay Rays games.
Wawrzyniak said that Now Hear This will begin an immediate review of DiCeglie’s official website as well as her various social media.
