Notable Guest Quotes

“The company that hired me, they hired Metro, got all the licensing, and we filmed a music video on the Las Vegas strip. People really thought I was (Lady Gaga).”

“I knew that Gaga was about to be huge all over again, that she had just released a new album. And in the tribute world, our popularity with gigs rises and falls with the artist.”

“I'll bring my dancers and then I can outsource the band because the way I built the show, I wanted it to be plug and play.  I wanted musicians to be able to read the charts straight from the top to the bottom… I wanted it to just be very easy for any musician to drop in and just play the show.”

“I love all of it. I love the full range of the possibilities you can do as a singing musician, tribute artist, but sometimes the smaller gigs are the ones that like really feel good… But of course I love doing huge, huge productions as well.”

“I decided let me partner with some chapels. Let's see what we can do. And just the few weddings we did and the content we created just blew up online and it's become its own little niche of work for myself now.”

“You'll see me walking down the streets of downtown in my Lady Gaga outfit going to file paperwork with the marriage license bureau because they are all legal weddings.”

“I grew up in the Highland Games as a Scottish dancer. So, I grew up in an adjacent world to (Renaissance) fairs.”

“My definition of how I portray (Lady Gaga) as a tribute has changed over the years. When I was younger, impersonating her meant being her… all the profanity… and just going to that place. But as I've gotten older and as she's gotten older, I'm able to, or I choose to, present my portrayal of Gaga in a more palpable way for a broader audience because she is that. She isn't shock and awe anymore. There is a reason why she started her career with the crazy outfits and the meat dress and all of that stuff. It was to get attention. Well, now she got her attention. Now she can show us what she really does.”

“When I step on stage and the music starts, I'm no longer in my head anymore… I can see her in my mind and how she would react.”

“Before I impersonated Lady Gaga I was scared of doing karaoke… my hands were soaking wet holding a microphone. I would drop a microphone. I don’t know, something about finding her and being told I look like this person and, I don't want to call it hiding but transforming with wigs and glasses and makeup and utilizing skills and talents I already had to become someone else set me free.”

“If you're coming to Las Vegas, find that one thing that makes you special and lean into that and promote that and market that.”

“Being a tribute artist of a living artist, it never ends. I mean you can choose to not do it anymore and stay at a particular era, but the successful ones continue on and follow along.”

“You could do your best to stay safe with your content and not say anything to be upsetting to anyone and somebody is always going to come in and say something. So, part of it's thick skin.”

“I've been on it in a creator facet since the beginning, since YouTube was invented. I saw YouTube as an opportunity and I created a band web show back in San Jose that was really cool and I’ve just been in it ever since.”

“I've achieved everything I've ever wanted to do as a tribute. I've headlined on the Las Vegas trip. I've had a touring show.”
