"Growing up I kind of was one of the only musicians in my town, so I kind of got used to writing alone, and it was actually a challenge for me for a bit to be able to share that side of me with other artists."
"I really enjoy the process of co-writing and I think I want to do it more, actually."
"I think I learned the most from other musicians and students with my time at Berklee. There's so many talented artists there."
"I have a lot of Nashville connections through The Voice as well as a lot of friends in the music business who live out there... I actually still think about moving there sometimes."
"I realized after I graduated that the love for music was to be the actual musician rather than to be a manager or someone in the industry. I wanted to be the performer."
"I think that writing is a form of, it's therapeutic for me... Where the difficulty comes into play for me is about releasing the songs to the public because those are the most intimate of feelings and emotions that I've ever shared with anyone."
"I try not to pay attention to the negatives or the haters. You're always going to have people who are not going to agree with you on certain things and also not like your music... But for me it's just about being an artist that I am just presenting my creation."
"I got to work with Blake Shelton... He's an awesome dude, very charismatic. He's helped me out quite a bit. He put me in contact with his producer, who I'm in contact with now, and his old manager also. But yeah, working with him was phenomenal."
"I definitely left The Voice with a lot more confidence."
"I've always loved doing music videos, making videos, especially overdubbing vocals and being able to harmonize with yourself... With Covid I hadn't done a livestream before then and to be honest I still really don't like going live. I hate that there's no interaction with the audience."
"We're looking at a full-length album. It's going to be called Space In Time. And we're looking at a late January release. And it's nine tracks on the album."
