Named “Best Solo Musician of 2019” by the Miami New Times, she is a singer, songwriter, guitar player, actor, and model who will be releasing a new album soon. Her background includes studying classical voice performance and pursuing a Broadway musical theater career before turning her focus to original rock and electronic music. In addition to her talents as a musician, she has honed her skills as a professional fire dancer and has even made appearances fire dancing in music videos for some notable names, including Pitbull.
"When it's come to my electronic collaborations, that's how a lot of them have really come about, either me approaching someone or I get an email from someone saying, 'I heard your voice on this track. Would you want to do a collaboration?' Which is what just happened with an artist that, I can't announce anything yet, but it's kind of a bigger artist that we might be having a track coming out."
"I studied classical performance but also started doing musical theatre on the side... and really started falling in love with that. So, from there I moved to New York City. I started auditioning for, I auditioned for 'Rent,' I auditioned for a couple different things."
"It can knock your confidence level down real quick. Ya' know, I went from being, getting all the leads, the top of everything, to just being another tiny speck of dust in the sea of New York."
"Yes, it takes a lot of talent, but it also takes a certain amount of luck too, ya' know? Ya' gotta sing the right note the right way at the right time for the right casting director. It's challenging, and I didn't know if I wanted that to be the way the rest of my life was."
"I decided, ya' know what, if I'm going to make it in this industry, I think I have to clear my own path and stop auditioning for other people's shows and kind of create my own content. And I think that's when I really started looking for bands to sing in and writing my own music and my own lyrics."
"It's a love-hate relationship with my (classical) training, but it has given me the ability to reach those high notes and some people that go into pop or rock that don't have that training, they have to learn how to breathe properly and they can really damage their voice. And I kind of had that already built in."
"A lot of times in the past I've written songs and lyrics really that cater to me and tell a story, but I never really was writing music for people that could help people. And somewhere along the line that changed."
"Going in and changing things and listening to other people's opinions, getting other people's input, that's something that I never did before and I'm still learning how to do that."
"This music has now become bigger than me. This is not just about me making it as an artist. This is about, like, how many people can I help with this music?"
"I never thought I could feel this way. I never thought that I could feel content just sitting in a room and I want to share that with as many people as I can. So that's really what I'm trying to do with my music."
