A hockey player turned MMA fighter turned music performer. Relocated from Montreal to Nashville, he's a recording artist and guitar player who released a bunch of music in 2020 and has this year launched a bi-weekly live performance YouTube series that is getting a lot of attention, plus there's more new music on the way this year. In 2020, as an artist, he surpassed a combined one million streams across all streaming platforms. He has coined the term ‘country punk,’ for the sub-genre that he considers his music to fall in. He put out his sophomore EP this past November, with some notable Music Row songwriters working on that project.

Notable Guest Quotes

"I grew up in Montreal, Quebec, in Canada.  Grew up playing hockey, started skating at (age) two, started playing hockey at four... We grew up playing hockey, playing soccer... I did four years of MMA... tore my quad, and in the recovery process... I thought guitar might be something really cool.  I always liked to sing... and that's how I started in music."

"I ended up being able to make some contacts back home that knew some publishers here in Nashville, set up some recording sessions, and I flew down, fell in love with the city, the town, and the vibe and the culture here."

"I wanted to come to Nashville with a purpose and with an idea of starting off correctly and kind of trying to hit stride almost right away.  And I was able to do that."

"We didn't even have a whole album out yet... and... we were able to get on a cross-Canadian tour... It was a two-month tour and we had three days off, total."

"After coming down to Nashville, I got to understand that there's so many different colors to country music and that country music really is predominantly a storytelling genre.  And whichever way you want to, sort of, wrap that musically is up to you and your influences."

"I think that a lot of country rock songs are kind of heavier, but a little bit slow and I felt like there was missing some of that, sort of, punk uptempo-ness.  And so, to be able to coin the phrase 'country punk' I thought was a really fun and motivating thing."

"Either you conform to what people want to hear and what you think might work, or you stick to your guns and double down.  And I've always been kind of rebellious in a way of just doing things the way I see fit."

"I prefer sub-genres just because it's more indicative of what the artist sees themselves as and wants to represent their work as.  And I think it's more specific to what it is you're gonna hear."

"Sitting on the other side of the camera for a good bit of the filming was really cool and I think that had something to do with why it came across exactly the way I had it in my head."

"There's all the business stuff and all the things that we have to worry about, but at the end of the day it ultimately comes down to, we're playing music and we're playing songs and it doesn't get better than that."
