Podcasting continues to grow by leaps and bounds. As the medium continues to evolve, there are endless questions about the various facets involved. Using the experience from having hosted the “Now Hear This Entertainment” podcast every week since February 2014 (well over 400 episodes at the time of this writing), Bruce Wawrzyniak has been helping beginner, intermediate, and advanced level podcasters in their efforts on and off the microphone.
The president of Now Hear This, Inc., Wawrzyniak has been active with podcast coaching that has included women and men from an array of locales, topics, and experience levels.
Mechiel Kopaska (pictured above during a consultation with Wawrzyniak) was almost 30 episodes into her “Fearless Innovator” podcast but realized that her direction was actually unclear. She had the show as well as a website and a book she wrote, but they didn’t seem to come together cohesively. On a recent episode of her podcast, she gave a great testimonial for the help that she has gotten from Wawrzyniak. (Listen to that excerpt via the audio player down below or the full six-minute episode on Spotify, here.) She is based in the greater Tampa Bay area and had seen Wawrzyniak speak at Podfest Origins at Amalie Arena in November.
Meanwhile, out west is Daniel Keller (pictured below in a consultation), who lives in Las Vegas and has two shows, “30 Second Chances,” which began in April 2020, and “Insights In Sound,” which started in November 2020. Both were video shows, available on the likes of the Get It In Writing (his company) YouTube channel and Facebook page. In the second half of 2021 he wondered if one or both shows should be made available as audio podcasts too. Enter Wawrzyniak and consulting sessions that have been taking place, resulting in “Insights In Sound” now being available worldwide for those who prefer to listen rather than watch.
“Bruce has been a tremendous help and inspiration in getting our show out in audio podcast format,” Keller said. “Even though we’d already put out several episodes in video format, Bruce really opened our eyes to the potential of expanding our audience via an audio version, and he really helped us navigate the learning curve. Now Insights in Sound can be heard almost anywhere you can listen to podcasts.”
Podcast coaching has also been taking place with someone else too. Make that plural since it’s a show that has three co-hosts. Since the main point of contact is a rather high-profile individual, anonymity must be maintained here. However, this was a case of assembling everyone (participating from California, Tennessee, and the UK) on a videoconference with Wawrzyniak and getting insights on a show that had started in May 2020, or, more than 80 episodes ago. While the request was for a deep dive into monetization, the breadth of information taught was wide-ranging in a manner that showed how the pieces all fit together. Do this, because it leads to that, and then you’re in a better position to monetize.
Furthermore, back in June, this picture had been posted on the official Instagram account for the “Now Hear This Entertainment” podcast, showing an in-person coaching session with a young lady who at the time had 50 (now 93) thousand followers on TikTok and wanted to expand her reach by starting a (video) podcast.
Additionally, Alastair McDermott, who is based in Ireland, had done a private, one-on-one, online video consultation for his podcast too, and he wrote, “Bruce is a true expert in his field, and a lovely guy. It was great to discuss my podcast project with him and hear his thoughts and suggestions. I recommend chatting with Bruce if you have a project that could use some advice from a podcasting expert.”
You don’t have to wait to get to an event where he speaks. Wherever you are in your podcast journey, take advantage of Wawrzyniak’s experience and wisdom. Schedule a confidential, one-on-one, online video consultation today to move forward with your show.
