Notable Guest Quotes

(Chad) "Sometimes if you're writing with people that maybe you're not familiar with you have a little bit of reluctancy to be straightforward.  They might have an idea that you don't like but you're not just going to tell them that because you've got to have some courtesy to you.  (Kyle) and I, on the other hand, if he comes at me with something and I don't think it's good, I'll tell him!"

(Kyle) "As a songwriter, you write something, you can get attached to it.  But, I may be attached to it and (Chad) not, and vice versa.  So, when we have songs that we're kind of on the fence about (our producer) is really good to help us see the good and the bad of it, if we have to do a re-write on it or change a few lines here or there."

(Chad) "If you're able to say what you need to say in that song without having a bridge, don't put one in there.  But, sometimes that bridge is one of the most powerful aspects of the song, it just drives home the whole story."

(Kyle) "We try to write from that same aspect with our music.  It's very emotional kind of stuff.  It's stuff that we've lived through, stuff that we go through day-to-day, and everybody else goes through it as well.  So we try to put it in a song to let everybody else know that we're all in this kind of together.  It's not fairy tale, made up stuff, it's real, it's raw."

(Chad) "Up until I had moved to Nashville I was just a country singer.  I thought that's what it would take to make it in music.  When I got to Nashville it was an eyes-wide-open kind of thing.  It was a learning experience.  My generation coming through, you had to be able to write good music and sing as well.  Very rarely do you just get an artist that just sings anymore.  Most of 'em that are artists have to write now."

(Kyle) "We've always been a part of each other's career no matter what."

(Kyle) "I think it's your obligation as an artist and a performer to give 100 percent every time, whether it is one person or ten people or ten thousand, that's your job - you're a performer, you should want to give 100 percent every time."

(Kyle) "We absolutely love it.  There's no better feeling than walking off stage after you just put on what you feel like is your greatest performance."

(Chad) "If people like good music, they will go out of their way to let you know it."
