Now Hear This is proud of singer/songwriter client Melissa Brethauer and the year that has been 2013.  Based in Georgia, the 24-year old, fittingly, will close out what has been her busiest year in music by performing at the Grand Hyatt in Atlanta on New Year’s Eve.

“Melissa continues to be a shining star,” Now Hear This President Bruce Wawrzyniak said.  “The temptation would be to say that her star continues to rise, but with all the accomplishments that keep getting added to the list, I’m confident when I tell people that she has arrived.”

Discovered at her high school talent show, Brethauer has been a Now Hear This client for six years now, during which time she has grown to a recording artist with an international presence, thanks to her music being purchased by buyers from Asia and Europe as well as followers from all five regions (Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania) on websites such as Facebook and ReverbNation.

Melissa Brethauer performs near Tampa, Florida, in August.Along the way she has continued to garner steady media coverage.

“I’m grateful for the confidence and trust that Melissa has in Now Hear This,” Wawrzyniak said.  “It is most rewarding getting bookings, media attention, and other opportunities for her, as well as watching her continue to develop her songwriting and her live shows.”

The Now Hear This president is commonly on the road with the singer/guitarist/pianist, including opportunities garnered in the Midwest this year, as well as in meetings on her behalf in Los Angeles and Nashville earlier in 2013.

This year alone Brethauer (pronounced BRETT-how-er) has played shows in and around the greater Atlanta area, in Florida, in Oklahoma, started working on her next album, made an initial merchandise launch, and been a guest on shows that are still accessible via her website.

Add to that the strong foundation that has been built over her years with Now Hear This, including playing on the Las Vegas ‘strip,’ multiple appearances in Nashville, and repeat invitations to songwriters’ festivals and the future continues to look as bright as the lights over the stages Melissa is performing on.
